In private practice for 30 years,  I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor ( LMHC) and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) serving greater Northern Westchester County, NY, Putnam County, NY, and the surrounding areas.
I am certified in Integrative Psychotherapy, Clinical Transactional Analysis, and Music Therapy. I am also a Certified Trainer/Supervisor for the International Integrative Psychotherapy Association (http://www.integrativeassociation.com), a Fellow of the Association of Music and Imagery (http://ami-bonnymethod.org) and a member of the faculty of the Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy (http://www.integrativetherapy.com/).

In the early part of my career I worked in a variety of hospital and clinical settings as a Music Therapy clinician, consultant and supervisor, and taught in both undergraduate and graduate Music Therapy programs. I am a Past President of the American Association for Music Therapy.  In the early 1980's I began my study of verbal psychotherapy techniques by training in Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Therapy, earning my certification as a Clinical Transactional Analyst in 1990.
I went on to study Integrative Psychotherapy, and expanded my private practice to include verbal counseling and psychotherapy.  Now, I offer a full array of verbal and non-verbal modes of counseling and psychotherapy.

My office is located in  Northern Westchester County, New York where I work with individuals, groups and couples/families.  I offer Integrative Psychotherapy, Music Therapy, and Guided Imagery in Music for Wellness and Psychotherapy.   I also offer Clinical Supervision, training, and workshops for other psychotherapists, creative arts therapists and health care professionals.  I have specialties in Creative Arts Therapy/Music Therapy, and Pre-natal and Postpartum counseling.

I am a frequent presenter at national and international conferences, have published articles on both music therapy and Integrative Psychotherapy, and am the co-author of
The Music Within You.  I am a founding member of the International Integrative Psychotherapy Association, and currently serve as Secretary for the Board of Trustees, as well as Co-Editor of the International Journal of Integrative Psychotherapy (http://www.integrative-journal.com.)  Teaching has always been an important part of my career both in Music Therapy and psychotherapy, and I currently maintain that interest as a faculty member of the Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy, an international academy based in Vancouver, B.C., which provides professional continuing education in the practice of psychotherapy and counseling.

In addition to my professional training, I have been an avid musician from the age of 7, when I began singing and playing guitar.  My love and passion for music, combined with my desire to be in a helping profession, brought me to the field of music therapy in the late 1970's.   Music remains a central part of my life as both an active music listener and performer, as well being fully integrated into my work as a licensed psychotherapist and licensed creative arts therapist.
